•  Sunday November 28, 2021 - Saturday December 25, 2021

Streams in the desert. A wolf lying down with a lamb. The Root of Jesse as a banner for the people. All of these images from Advent Bible passages paint a picture of restoration—broken things somehow made right again. The season of Advent reminds us that while we wait for the coming of Jesus, we do not wait in vain. Instead, we wait with the hope and the expectation that he—Immanuel—is entering our brokeness, coming to restore our hearts, restore our neighborhoods, and restore all things when he comes again.

Join us this Advent and Christmas season at City of Light as we pray Psalm 85, "restore us again, God our Savior."

Sundays, November 28 - Christmas

Advent Household Worship Guide

As believers and part of the church, we are invited to bring that sense of waiting and expectancy into every aspect of our lives. We wait for God to show up not only on Sunday mornings, but also in our households. Whether you are a family with children, a celibate, or a student in a dorm, you are invited to worship God and await His coming in your household. Here are some helpful resources for you this Advent season.
